Marco A. S. Netto

Welcome to my website!

I'm a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Melbourne. I'm a member of CLOUDS lab, and my supervisor is Prof. Rajkumar Buyya. I have a Bachelor (2002) and Master degree (2004 in Computer Science, both from the Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Brazil.

I've been working with resource management and job scheduling for high performance computing environments since 2000. I have also worked with Structural Bioinformatics and Desktop Grids.

My current research focus is on co-allocation of space-shared resources for parallel applications. My work considers Quality-of-Service in terms of job's completion time guarantees, and rescheduling aspects, mainly due to inaccurate runtime estimates. Here you will find more about my current research.
