A cool picture.

This is my new website, the style and layout of this webpage is copied from Gavin Baker's homepage. Lots of comments on this webpage is also copied from Gavin's homepage, because they just happen to apply to me.

Because this website is totally new, therefore most of the links will lead you to empty webpages. Links that currently work are: teaching, research, chess and all the departmental and university pages.

This site is written to fully conform to all the relevant standards for web content, specifically HTML and CSS. As well as looking great in the world's greatest browser, Opera (which has the best standards conformance), these pages look just fine in the venerable Lynx, a great text-based browser.

I'm a postgraduate student, working towards a PhD degree in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering of the University of Melbourne.

My current thesis topic is "Natural Language Understanding in Constrained Virtual Environments". I have some more information on my research available here.

In 2004, I taught two computer science subjects: 433-380 Computer Graphics and 433-332 Operating Systems. More information about the subjects I taught can be found on the teaching section of this webpage.
