The Australasian Database Conference series is an annual forum for exploring research, development, and novel applications of database systems. The Eighteenth Australasian Database Conference, ADC 2007, will be held at The University of Ballarat as part of the Australasian Computer Science Week . The conference week also includes:
Registration to the Australasian Database Conference enables delegates to attend sessions in any conference participating in the Australasian Computer Science Week.
ADC 2007 solicits contributions in all areas of database research. Typical, but not exclusive topics of interest are:
ADC 2007 invites papers describing original contributions in all fields of database research and applications. Papers should be no more than 10 pages in length conforming to the formatting instructions for the series Conferences in Research and Practice in Information Technology. Instructions available from the ADC2007 web site main page.
Each paper will be judged on its originality, significance, technical quality, relevance to ADC, and presentation. Submissions of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one author will attend the conference to present the work.
Submission to ADC 2007 will be available electronically by following this link. Authors will first be asked to submit an abstract, then to upload the full paper using the paper-id assigned by the system.
By submitting to the conference authors accept that they are aware of the Guidelines on Research Practice in Computer Science by the Computer Research and Education Association (CORE - previously CSA). In particular, authors are encouraged to review the points on authorship.
A prize will be awarded to the best student paper as chosen by the programme committee. The student paper award is given on the conditions that:
The proceedings of the conference will be published through the Australian Computer Society as the Australasian Database Conference 2007 - Australian Computer Science Communications. Each paper will be fully refereed. Complete instructions for authors regarding submission and formatting procedures will be found at the ADC 2007 website.
After the conference, authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in the Journal of Research and Practice in Information Technology (JRPIT).
